Facade Inspection via Rope Access

Sitting 10 stories high along the Brisbane river, a residential complex was nearing the end of its 10 year warranty period. The facade had been subjected to salt water winds for the past decade which had started to affect the alkalinity of the facades concrete. Bells was entrusted to inspect and report on the fitness of the facade to help inform the body corporate of their situaton.

Utilizing rope access techniques paired with visual and non-destructive testing (NDT), Bells technicians were able to scan the facade of the residential complex, mapping out each spalling location and their approximate severity. The report provided to the client enabled them to ensure they could accurately assess their buildings fitness.
