Through thorough inspection of the facade using visual and non-destructive testing, Bells was able to accurately and efficiently plan and provide the client services for concrete spalling and repair of the facades waterproofing system.
The commercial high-rise had been fitted with a Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) for use for general maintenance when the building was constructed. By installing a rope access system along side the BMU, Bells was able to deploy multiple teams simultaneously to:
- remove deteriorated sealant and concrete
- prepare removal sites for repair
- reinstate sealant
- apply concrete repair mortars
- inspect, access and ensure quality
The completion of the project left the commercial High-rise facade stonger, more durable and looking refreshed ready for many more years of standing tall safely in the Brisbane CBD.
